Attorney Eddie L. Meeks is a native of North Carolina. He began his undergraduate career at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in Pre-Law. Prior to his college career, Mr. Meeks served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Pensacola. After a successful naval career, Mr. Meeks obtained his Law Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham. While in law school, he was employed with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office and the North Carolina Legal Aid Society where he became the recipient of the Martin Luther King scholarship award as a testament to his dedication to public service. In addition, he was honored to serve as a member of the Project on Actual Innocence and the International Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.
